North Lanarkshire E3 Hub

The North Lanarkshire E3 is an extension of Elevator a business support centre. Our North Lanarkshire E3 team are focused on helping local people who are at the very beginning of their business journey. From building ideas to breaking down barriers, with grants and upskilling available online and via out hubs. We’re funded by the UK Government Community Renewal Fund and are working in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council, so everything we provide is free! So why is E3 here? We’re here to help local people across North Lanarkshire to improve their digital know-how, increase their online presence and generally connect more at community level.

North Lanarkshire has two hubs; one in Cumbernauld- situated within the Muirfield Centre- we’re a stone’s throw away from the Antonine an din the hubbub of local community. Feel free to come in and have a chat with us. Our second hub is in Shotts where we share an office with Green Action Trust at Hillhouseridge; the Shotts hub is right in the centre of countryside and walks. Pop in any time- we’re used to muddy boots!

The hubs are a great space to access support. Maybe you have a business idea and aren’t sure where to start? Our E3 team can walk you through the support that is available. Existing businesses can also access help through upskilling staff, digital support, and connection to advisors. We’re on social media so you can ping us a message on there or just go to the hub directly.

We also have E3 mobile vans fully equipped with a mini office in the back. We’ll be parked all round North Lanarkshire so look out for us on the roads! This will help us reach people from all corners of North Lanarkshire. The van is electric, so we’ll be doing our bit for the planet and aligns with our company ethos to encourage green innovation.

We’re already making connections with the local community, our engagement on social media has been really important especially the local Facebook community groups. The Cornerstone House kindly wrote a piece promoting the great work we're doing, check it out here.

Our free programmes are filling up with two kicking off on the same day. The 2nd March saw the ‘I Can and I Will,’ programme begin- a programme designed for women who want to start their own business. And also, our Culture, Diversity and Ethnicity,’ programme – diversity and inclusions training business understand their customer base and workforce. Both these programmes will enhance people’s skills and knowledge that they can apply within their workplace or to put forward a start to their business.

Overall E3 is here to help the community through business support. It will be exciting to see the progress over the project- watch this space!
